The Project "Monitoring Biomedical Information based on Intelligent Content Retrieval from Cardiac and Respiratory Sound Signals"
aims to contribute to the solution of technological problems oriented towards finding applications in the field of biomedicine considering sound and electrocardiograms (ECG) processing.
This coordinated project is made up of researchers who have experience in signal processing, artificial intelligence (AI), computer tools, and also specialist medical doctors.
Most of these researchers belong to two Spanish universities (University of Jaén and University of Oviedo).
The research proposal of this MINERVAS project is focused on the development of scientific advances that promote applications of clear socio-economic interest, with transfer potential, that can
produce a positive impact on the citizens life-quality. The names of the universities and institutions, and participating groups are the following:
SUBPROJECT 1. Research area: Sound signal processing and AI. Cardiology and pulmonology
Universidad de Jaén. Research group: Signal Processing in Telecommunication Systems (TIC-188).
Complejo Hospitalario de Jaén
Hospital Universitario San Agustín de Linares
Fundación QuironSalud.
SUBPROJECT 2. Research area: Computational tools and AI techniques for decision making.
Universidad de Oviedo. Research group: Quantum and High Performance Computing Group (QPHC).
Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias
European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN, Openlab division).
