Carmen Conti Jiménez es doctora en Filosofía y Letras por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Desde 2005, es profesora del Área de Lengua Española en el Departamento de Filología Española de la Universidad de Jaén.
Sus líneas de investigación se centran en el estudio de la sintaxis del español, las construcciones sintácticas de las lenguas, la teoría gramatical y la documentación de lenguas amenazadas.
Professor at the University of Jaén (Spain), received her Ph.D. in Linguistics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (April 2002). She got the Extraordinary Award of the Faculty of Humanities for her Master’s thesis and the Extraordinary Award of the Faculty of Humanities for her dissertation. She has been a visiting researcher at the UC Berkeley, Rice University, the University at Buffalo, the University of Manchester and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Her primary research interests are in typology, syntax, syntax-semantics linking, and language documentation.
